Legs, Class and Style over 50

Well, Christmas is over and after this weekend most us will settle into a pretty boring routine of going to work and then rushing home to a warm, cozy spot.  Every year I vow not to let that happen.  Every year it happens.  I'm truly hoping this year is different.  My Christmas present from the Man was a much wanted automatic car starter.  I'm hoping that will encourage me to venture out during the cold Indiana winter.

I really enjoy the Two Birds Blog and try to participate every Monday.  Sometimes it's pretty difficult to come up with an outfit I feel comfortable wearing.  Many of their inspiration photo's are of very young, beautiful and sometimes painfully thin young women.  For a woman over 50 this can be very daunting.
So my choices are either to look at the participants and think wistfully of days past or examine my faults and strong points to come up with a creative twist.

I used to have pretty decent legs.  That is not the case anymore.  I still can wear skirts they are just knee length or longer.  Shorts are quickly becoming a thing of my past replaced by much more comfortable skirts or summer dresses.

What I have tried to do is replace some of those much missed items with a little class and style.

So take a walk on the wild side and venture over to Two Birds Inspiration Monday.
I'm also linking up to Pleated Poppy for what I wore Wednesday.  Just be yourself and meet some new bloggers!

My  Trending through the Decades: Christmas Style  is still up for another day.  Stop by to show how your age decade styled  Christmas this year.

Here is the inspiration photo for Two Birds

  2. You did a great job with this look! I too love the striped shirt/scarf combo. Love the bits of red in the scarf. Love all the xtra touches of accessories too...large hoop earrings, cuff and bangles.
You do always look so classy and gorgeous.
