On the Run

This is just a quick little post.  Had to do the normal Saturday morning running around and this is what I wore.  To much?  I personally thought my outfit was right on.
I didn't get any rolled eye looks, but gotta lot of smiles...
Last weekend I wore a cotton maxi to a shrimp boil.  Somebody told me I was to dressed up.  I didn't have the heart to tell them My whole outfit cost a ton less than their Levi's.  Or to even try to explain that this is my casual look.  Oh,,,,,,the drama!
I can't for the life of me understand women that go to the grocery or any place for that matter looking like they just rolled out of bed.  Come on, how much effort does it really take to.

1.  Shower
2.  Do your hair
3.  Put on make up
4.  Pick out clothing and accessories
5.  Take your picture!  Just kidding on that one!

The only time I have ever done that was when we were right in the middle of a remodeling project and suddenly some damn thing was needed from Home Depot.  And what do you think happened?  Of course, I ran into somebody I knew.  I just put my sunglasses back on and smiled baby smiled!

I am thinking about doing a post on a fall trend.  My blogging buddies vary in age from their 20's to their 60's (maybe 70's but I'm not sure)
I would like to ask for volunteers for each decade.  I'll pick the trend, thinking something simple like jewel tones.  And the victim  volunteer can do their take and send me the pics.  I will put the post together and snap!
Any thoughts on this little game?

Outfit stats
Of course thrifted to the max.  I think the only retail purchase was my jeggings.  The only way I wear them is with a really long tunic.  (Old lady ass issue)
I would say $20.00 for all including boots and purse.  Oops just noticed I forgot the purse in the kitchen.  Trust me it's a cute black hobo.   Not to shabby (still saving the mula for vacation)
Now that I think about it the Fossil sunglasses cost more than the whole outfit.  Glad to know my priorities are in order!

    Fantastic...you have my vote. Love the layering and your scarf is gorgeous. Spend money on the accessories and thrift the clothing is my motto.     First of all Tammy, I love the photos outside and I love the closer photos! So good to see you close-up.
    Would love to do a trend via age thing like they do in Bazaar mag I think? Anyway, I'm on board.
    Your outfit is pure perfection for running around. You look put-together but not overdone. I like being the best dressed person in the room anyway. Sometimes that may mean I am overdressed--oh, well!

    Way to work the denim-on-denim look! I haven't had the guts to try it yet. And I never would have thought it would work so well with a scarf.

    Tammy, I am mighty close to 60 and I would be willing to try to do something.
    I like this outfit today. Casual but very stylish. I too am amazed by people who think I am dressed up when I am just casual. Maybe we just have different definitions of casual?

    Fabulous outfit and worthy of recreating! The outdoor pictures are great and I do like the closeups. You're right, it is amazing how many people just roll out of bed and out the door.
