The Lady in Red

I totally thought the EBEW http://www.everybodyeverywear.com/ post was next week.  I thrifted a pair of red pants to wear and was going to slim the legs down.  I found out when I got home tonight that it was today.  I really need to get better at scheduling these things!
So, the pants didn't get altered.  I still like them and will decide at a later date if they really need to be slimmed down.   Thinking, yes!
I think I might be doing a couple of trends here.  From what I read, tunics are coming back . Yeah, I love a flowing tunic.   And the fedora!  I love them and can't think of one single place to wear them in Indiana that I won't get the rolled eyed look!
No close ups today.  I was in a rush to take the photos and my husband decided to mow the lawn, and my neighbor was outside visiting so I was to embarrassed to take a bunch of shots.
I will say I love the burst setting on my Sony.  It saves a ton of time.  Unfortunately it doesn't have an anti embarrassment setting!
So rock on my little Silverstyle buddies............Be the best you can be.  And try to keep away from lawn mower guy!

Outfit totally thrifted!  Total cost $6.00 (including hat, excluding shoes and jewelry

  1. Thanks for stopping by Tammy. Really nice outfit and the hat looks great on you. You have really impressed me with this one. I hate when people interupt my picture taking by being outside...go inside people. Dawn xo

  2. wow ... did somebody post something snarky in a comment? that's just ridiculous. I kind of hide when I take my pictures too (but I think I might be getting used to the rolled eyes look. Those pants make you look really skinny. I love fedoras too, but I'm not sure how or where to wear them (and I can't find one that fits -- I have a big head!).

  3. Oh, I love the tunic. Agree that the pants could be slimmed down, as you wear form-fitting pants VERY WELL. I'm still self-conscious about my neighbors watching and I've been at this for over a year!

  6. Red jeans are always a good thing. I think they look good as they are (at least from this angle) but I always feel a bit better when things fit more sleekly, so you could go either way. The tunic shape really works with them too!

  7. Love this outfit. You look so slender in this! The hat is a great touch. I bought one last year, wore it to get my hair done and had everyone ask if I was going to church or a funeral. If it had been a cowboy hat, no one would have blinked an eye.

  8. Love your red pants! They were on my list too. And nothing like a tunic; they are a staple of my wardrobe.
    Love the fedora--you go girl!
    What is burst setting?

  9. what? I can't I believe your outfit cost only $6! You look boho chic! The top is lovely. I saw a pair of red jeans at the thrift store the other day, I contemplated and wondered if I can carried that at my age but seeing you now in this stunning color jeans look , I'm changing my mind.
