If You Have to Ask You Already Know the Answer

You know what question that is.  I think women just have it in their DNA to ask does this make my butt look fat?  I've had this skirt for 2 years and have never worn it for that very reason.  It  feels to full for me.  I  decided to get over it and wear it today.  It's 100% cotton and very light and airy.  Can't beat it for the heat we are "enjoying".  And to top it off it was the perfect color for my 4th outfit.
Do you have clothes that sit on the fence of your comfort zone?

I hope everybody is enjoying their 4th of July.  Last night we went to an outdoor concert and fireworks.    Today is the oddest 4th of July I've ever experienced.  It's 100 degrees and humid as heck.  I ran out to the grocery earlier and proclaimed that's it for me............NO PARADE in this weather.  So I have spent the day doing some blog maintenance and just now at 5pm am getting ready to venture out on the deck for a glass of wine with the Man.

  1. I think the skirt is fun, and looks great on you! But, I have discovered, if I don't feel good in something it does not matter what anyone else says...so go with your gut! I live in that kind of heat...so I know it can be unbearable!

  5. I just purchased a skirt with these same lines from a consignment shop and wondered the same thing I love that you state so wisely, if you have to ask, you already know the answer...haha. But seeing how cute it is on you. I think I'll be just fine.

  6. I think the skirt looks great on you, but I do have some things that I just don't feel comfortable in. Happy 4th!

  7. Oh but you look beautiful in it! I feel slightly uncomfortable with any pair of trousers that isn't wide-legged! Skinny jeans are my absolute idea of clothing hell!

  8. Tammy, hi how are you? Sorry I have not been by. I usually hibernate in this heat and feel like doing nothing. Anyway I just had to drop in and comment on your outfit. It is so Anthropologie catalog and I love it on you. These summery cotton materials look so cool, feminine and rich. Love this. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  11. So feminine chic Tammy! I love this pretty floral skirt on you. Looks great with the white sleeveless top...lovely summer outfit. I can almost imagine you strolling along the beach in this outfit...cute hat to keep cool in the summer heat too. So happy to see you blogging again...ha..we take turns to go blog hiatus. I am very busy preparing for a move to a new place. And also wanted to take a break from blogging, got a little bit tired of it. But definitely missing all my bloggy friends. Have fun Tammy...good to see you looking great.

  12. I just pinned this great double-belt idea. Um, hard to say without seeing your butt Tammy lol! But I can imagine there is reluctance to post a rear-view shot? That being said, I don't imagine it would make your butt look big at all!! These skirts don't hug your behind so they create the illusion of a smaller figure underneath (plus way thinner legs!!). And the eye would be drawn to the appearance of a nipped-in waist, rather than what's lower down. I say keep this one!

Your skirt reminds me of one I wore in a recent post:
