Just a quick post to keep me in the game. I was in the country visiting my Mom last weekend and have been really busy since I got back. My birthday was yesterday and I was on call which means I stay home. The Man kicked in gear and bought flowers, steaks and a crazy chocolate birthday cake. The cake was totally a joke since I really don't eat sweets. He actually bought it for him and our son! They proceeded to put candles on it, turn off the lights and sung Happy birthday! Overall a pretty good evening for my 54th birthday.
This week I also went through my first facebook delivery. A friend of mine was at the hospital waiting for her first grandchild to be born. Her poor daughter was in labor for almost 24 hrs. They finally determined a C section was the only way to go. Well, out came a 9 1/2 lb baby boy. Ladies, this is a very small young lady..........I ask you. Why the hell didn't the Dr. know the size of that baby? I would already be looking for another OBGYN.
Well, guess I'm going to run now. I know my day tomorrow is going to be vicious!!
Have a good week and I hope to be back to normal soon. (the first step for me is to determine what normal is. Oh, why bother!!)
Linking up with all my favorites. Just a little late this week.
Outfit stats
Jacket: Eddie Bauer, thrifted $2.50
Jeans: I'm sure you're tired of seeing them but, I love them. Thrifted $5.00
Blouse: Thrifted 25 c
Scarf: I actually think it may be hand painted. Purchased in Savanna at an antique store $5.00
That sums it up. To tired to add jewelry so this is the best you get!!:)
Happy birthday (belatedly)!! I laughed about the cake but it sounds like a good party. You look fabulous - I especially love that belt buckle!
ReplyDeleteWell, Happy Birthday, lovely lady! A mere quarter for the blouse!? I must work on honing my thrifting skills to your lofty level.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! Glad you were at home with family!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! You look great in those jeans.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Those jeans look awesome! My mom just had her 54th birthday a couple of days ago, you're in good company!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I had a good friend deliver a 10 pound baby boy three years ago - she was in labor over 36 hours and didn't end up in a C-section, but they swore they didn't know he was as big as he was either. She found a new OB for baby number 2. Seriously.
Happy Birthday Beautiful Lady!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday!!! and you absolutely must tell me where in the world you're thrifting blouses for 25 cents!!
