Black and White in January

Can I wear white after New Year's Eve?  Of course, I'm joking and the white is really in the accessories.  On Saturday I just happened to thrift this white, shopper style, bag and thought what the hell.  It is all about black and white this week so go for it.
I wore my black poncho which is a daily go to for me.  It's getting late enough in the season that I am actually wondering if I can make it through the winter without really wearing a proper coat.  I say hell's yes!  I'm going to give it a shot.   I bought the top at a local department store with coupons it was only $6.00 (yeah!  She shoots, she scores!) The design is called yarn art or some such hoity-toity name.  I liked it so much I bought a brown and blue one too.  They are super comfortable and I believe they will be worn all year.  Now, with a turtle neck and when it warms up a cami or sleeveless Tee.  I can't begin to tell you the sins this type of top covers......I could, but some things are better left unsaid.

This week the blogosphere is going to be all about black and white.  Any fashion blogger worth their booties and statement necklace will be linking up to  Everybody Everywhere for tomorrow's black and white edition.
This link up is huge and the participation is amazing.  So if you haven't picked out you black and whites do it now and hop on over to check out all of the other bloggers statements looks.
I will also be linking up to  Two Birds Inspiration Monday.  This to is a fun link up with two very funny and beautiful ladies that happen to be the "Two Birds"
Also, please don't forget the current Trending link up is active for 1 more day.  Stop by and say hi.
Trending Through the Decades: Layers

Here is the inspiration photo for Two Birds.  I know I didn't do a great job on the interpretation.  What can I say I'm just not a tee shirt kinda girl!  (I think she needs to be reminded of the cover your butt / thigh rule when wearing skinny jeans!)

Happy week and happy blogging..

No, I don't think I can fly.  Just thought you'd like to see the sleeve detail on my top.

  2. Very cute! It's kind of a tee? I think it was a hard look to pull off although you did fabulously. If it makes a movie star look like she has thighs, mere mortals might think twice:)
