Welcome, hope all of you have been having a good week. This is the 7th installment of the Trending link.
This is a link where you can show how your age decade rocks a current trend.
This week I picked scarves. I have been wearing them for quite a few years. Way before they were stylish.
So that either makes me ahead of the curve or just plain goofy. Depending on the day it can totally be a toss up.
I have so enjoyed blogging. It has made me take a lot bigger risks than deciding a trend is a trend before it's a trend.
I wish I would have found this medium to express myself a long time ago. Lord only knows what I would have done with a scarf then!
Fall is definitely the season to wear them. Light ones now and veryyyyyyyyy soon we'll be bringing out the big fluffy artillery!
So, show us what you've got. Vintage, infinity, or a great new way to style last years model.
All that I ask is you link back to my blog so others know where to find us and put your age next to your name. Example Tammy (50's) And yep that's me!

I never know what to do with scarf. I must have at least 20, and never wear any of them.

I have a few scarves. But with a short neck and large chest I feel as if I'm choking in them. So I enjoy looking at them in my closet.
ReplyDeleteI guess I should be embarrassed, but some of my students refer to me as the SCARF QUEEN, because I have so many! I love scarves and have to purposefully NOT wear them or I would have one on every day! I keep them on a big hat rack that looks like COUSIN IT because it has so many scarves on it, but that is the only way I can hang them so that I can see them.
ReplyDeleteWhen people who don't like or aren't good at shopping ask me how to improve their style, I always tell them to invest in a couple of scarves. They're a pretty brainless way to jazz up a basic outfit, they're inexpensive (especially if you thrift them) and they look sophisticated at any age. I LOVE scarves.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazing anybody still sells those jabot bow-tie scarves. They look so 70-80s when women went back to work and had that prim little tie at the neck.
ReplyDeleteI bought a blouse with big sleeves and a peasantly tie at the neckline and I just can't bring myself to tie it up at the neck for fear of being transported back.
