Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny Go!

Well ladies the time has finally come.  Recently we found that we were going to be grandparent's.  Yep, Navy boy and Adil (Almost Daughter in Law) informed us that we would become first time grandparents in September.  Honestly, I'm thrilled.  As long as they are happy I'm happy!

But, this has brought me some things to ponder.
Like, do I have to be called Grandma or can I chose my own name? (I chose Mimi)
Does being a grandma change the way you dress or look at life?   Do I have to start wearing shawls because it's the proper accessory or because I just love them?  Do I have to donate all of my wedges's and heels  and go to flats?  Do I have to give up my favorite flare jeans for elastic?  My God I can't stand the thought!
Or do I continue to roll like I roll.............?

I think you all know the answer to that!!!!!!!!
So here is what I wore today.  A perfectly respectable outfit for a soon to be Granny!

Like the Beach Boy's song.   Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny go!

  2. Wonderful, congratulations! Isn't it nice to be living in a time where WE get to decide what a "grandma" looks like?

  3. Love the outfit (pardon me, I'm a thrifting lurker, have read but never commented). FYI, I'm a grandmother x4 (DO. NOT. CALL. ME. GRANDMA!), same age as you (we start young in my family), and 1. My grandkids, ages 5-12 know better than to even think of calling me "Grandma" (that is reserved for my mother, I am Mama Tess) 2. I have actually started dressing better than I ever did. Yes I wear skinny jeans, wedges, stillettos, flares, whateEVER I want, because you know what? At my age, I don't have to care what anyone thinks. If I FEEL good, and I LOOK good doing it, it works for me. Congratulations!

  6. Those jeans look fantastic on you! Love the jacket and those heels! and of course, keep being you! you're going to be the most stylish grandma out there and if it's a girl, you know she'll be in your closet wanting to play dress up! That alone is enough reason to keep wearing all your fun clothes! Thanks for linking up with Thursdays are for Thrifters!
