The Sad Things in Life..

Last Saturday I lost my Dad.  I received a call Saturday morning @ 4am telling me to get there quick.  My parents live 150 miles away so 3 hours later we finally made it.
He passed that afternoon at 430.  One on the positives I hold on to is that it was quick and he didn't suffer.
This post probably doesn't really make sense.  I'm very tired and feeling a little fuzzy around the edges.
So forgive me. I'm sure I'll be back to my old silly self soon.
I don't know if I'll be up to any of this weeks challenges.  I'll have to see how it goes.

  3. It's hard to lose a parent. I have always felt our Elohim puts people in our lives to help us just when we need comfort and compassion. Praying that you and your family find those earthly messengers in this difficult period.

  6. Tammy, I know that loss all too well. I lost my Father 7 years ago. It is hard on everyone and all I can say is, stick close to those left behind because we all grieve and heal in different ways. I will ask God for your family's comfort during this tough time. Lots of love, Dawn Suitcase Vignettes...take care and I hope you got your humor from your Dad.

  8. I am so very sorry. Coincidentally, I've been wallowing in my sadness this week over the same thing and have been up most the night. Today would have been my parents' 51st anniversary. The loss of my father is still so new and raw - he gave me endless validation, which is one of the reasons I posted that short film. I feel for you deeply, and again I am so sorry. God bless you and your family. I am just a blog and an e-mail away should you need to pour out your heart.
